Loonie Logs Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Loonie Logs ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Loonie Logs ("we," "our," or "us"). We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Loonie Logs is a mobile application that provides:

• Receipt scanning and data extraction using AI technology
• Expense, income, and tax deduction tracking
• Financial record organization and categorization
• Export functionality for tax preparation purposes

The App is designed to help Canadian self-employed individuals and small business owners track their finances. It is not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.

To use the App, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Create an account with a valid email address
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Free Tier

We offer a free tier with limited features. Free accounts are subject to monthly scan limits and may have restricted access to certain features.

Paid Subscriptions

• Paid subscriptions are billed annually through the App Store or Google Play
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to process receipts or documents that are not your own

Our Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Loonie Logs and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the data and content you upload to the App (receipts, financial records, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Receipt scanning and data extraction will be 100% accurate
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors or defects will be corrected

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOONIE LOGS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Errors in data extraction or categorization
• Tax penalties or financial losses resulting from use of the App
• Unauthorized access to your account or data

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Loonie Logs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you upload to the App

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the App or other users.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• You may request export of your data within 30 days by contacting us at [email protected]
• We may delete your data after the 30-day period

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Loonie Logs regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
